The Future
The future began three years ago (the story simly has to be told that way) when gallerist Reino Eriksson walked into our livingroom, picked up his agenda and said; When? After that things have kept falling on place: slides and letters started to find their way to Galleries and artdealers that considered my paintings to be of significance. My studio was (and is today) full of pictures. Even under the most strainfull and rough circumstances, work had been in progress, sometimes with an intensity bearing witness of the nightmare I was fighting my way through during the years of illness in my family. Now it seemed as if I was regaining and entering the ground I had started to tread several years ago.
My "come back" - a local show at Folkets Hus. Varberg - resulted in the possibility to fulfill one my lifetime dreams: scubadiving on the coralreefs! To understand the magnitude of magic involved, you have to take into consideration what is almost an obsession since early childhood and that water as a symbol and keys for altered states of mind, various emotions and patterns of thought, has been absolutely essential in my imaginary world during the last 25 years.

Diving in the Andaman Sea
At this very moment, the glory of it all is winding itīs way through my mind; finding shape and colour , that with great certainty will emerge on canvas as new and inspired suites of paintings or pieces work within already existing suites like: " I can hear the water dream" or "Songs From a Distant Sea" or new ones : "Koh" or "The Ledges of a Sunken Garden"!
When Mark Gaines entered my life, a perhaps even grander dream stared to take shape: the possibilty of an establishment in countries outside Sweden! Mark and I found each other on a webpage ( Thank You Dirk Evans! ) "Friends of Prog on The Internet" and has developed a friendship that is now resulting in the joint venture of presenting my art in different parts of the USA. Beeing an experienced artdealer, he has probably a good chance to succed . You can read further about Mark and our plans under the headliner " An American Adventure".
Besides the possibilty to earn a living, I hope I will be able to meet up with people sharing my interests and join them in different projects. With a profound interest in the conceptual and theoretical sides of art, I would love to work with ideas directing me into the world of installations and performance art, or perhaps multimedia-projects involving litterature, music, film, theatre and other means of expression. Iīve occasionaly been in those territories already. The avantgarde visions and experiments of the early 20th Century are a never ending source of inspiration for me.
A lifelong appreciation for music and poetry, provides me with numerous ideas, as well as photography. I have at times more or less been working professionaly within those arenas as well. You can read more about that if you open up " Other Projects".
My background in natural sciences is also a grand source of inspiration; images found within astronomy, mycology, malacology, mineralogy etc, often find their way into my imagination. From an extensive reading of not only fiction, but also Psycology, Philosophy and other sciences, I end up with ideas about perception and therapeutical values that are absolutely essential to my way of reasoning. My art is indeed very personal and you could even say that itīs source and power comes from a deeply felt wish and need to tell the story - over and over again - about the endlessly varied nuances and rich emotional life that is possible if you save and perserve the child within you and let that child take part of the enchantment that is there to unlock- everywhere and all around us - if you only know how to find the right keys.
Welcome to the World of Dreams!
